There is a reason why your mother would ask you to eat homemade food. Thanks to fast food joints such as McDonalds and Burger King, healthy eating has taken a backseat. Foods from such places are packed with unhealthy fat. The calorie counts in such foods are HUGE.

Home Made Food

Eating out is not a good option for those trying to lose fat. Nothing compares homemade food. I am not going to give a lecture on what to cook at home. As a rule, you should stick to healthy whole foods, and avoid fried foods. You do not have to eliminate carbs from your diet. Just reduce the portion.  Eat plenty of green vegetables and high-protein foods.

Up Your Protein Intake

Protein should be your best friend when trying to lose weight fast. You should get protein from real foods and from nutritional supplements. Good protein sources include lean cut meats, chicken breast, egg white, sprouts and fish (Tuna for example).

Bad carbs constitute white rice and white-flour products such as white bread. Opt for low glycemic carbs.
